Location

The University of Manchester China Centre is centrally located in L’ Avenue Office Building at the heart of Hong Qiao International Business District, one of the city's most vibrant commercial concourses with very convenient transportation.

Venue

We can offer University staff flexible options to meet requirements while they are in Shanghai:

1. Reception Area

The reception area is equipped with LED visual system, best for networking events such as gathering, salon and reception, with the capacity of 30-40 people.

2. Training Rooms

We have 4 training rooms. Each has capacity of maximum 50 people. 2 training rooms can be merged into a bigger one, with double the capacity.

You can arrange our training rooms for several kinds of business occasions:

  • Theatre – for professional presentations
  • Classroom – a comfortable education environment

All training rooms have FREE Internet, flipchart; markers, projector etc. are available upon request.

3. Meeting Rooms

We have 6 meeting rooms. The capacity of rooms varies from 6 to 10 people.

  • "Singapore" Room
  • "São Paulo" Room

All training rooms have FREE Internet and TV screen. Flipchart; markers, projector etc. are available upon request.

Hot Desks

All of our hot desks are provided with everything set up and ready to use: telephones, computers and internet, printers, and a comfortable workspace. We’ll also make sure that there’s a dedicated team to support you with administration and general office management.

Price & Payment

We are pleased to welcome any UK University colleagues to use our facilities when they visit Shanghai for business.

We will arrange incidentals such as refreshments or printing but will wish to be reimbursed for these and any other direct costs incurred in local currency. We may charge for longer term or regular use and the charges below are a guide and only for University of Manchester staff. Payment in these cases may be internally arranged.

Reception Area

  • £350 (UoM Only) —— Half day
  • 3500 RMB (External Use) —— Half day
  • £550 (UoM Only) —— Whole day
  • 5500 RMB (External Use) —— Whole day

Training Room

  • £350 (UoM Only) —— Half day

Hot Desk

We provide computer with internet connection, MS office, admin support etc. This service is only available for visitors from University of Manchester.

Other Service

  • On-site support by one staff (500RMB) —— One day
  • Printing: Black & White (10RMB) —— One-page side
  • Printing: Color (20RMB) —— One-page side

For staff use of the Centre, you will need to show your University staff card as identification.

You will be responsible for any damage to equipment you use during your visit. All terms and conditions are subject to change.
