Dr. Prem Kumar Nair

CEO, IHH Healthcare, Singapore

Dr. Prem will be discussing his work background, how events of the last 12 months have affected his business and the wider sector, and the challenges he has faced during this time. He will also discuss the expectations for his sector in the coming months and will share some current thinkings in Healthcare Management.

Dr Prem Kumar Nair is the Chief Executive Officer of IHH Healthcare Singapore, which is part of the global IHH Healthcare group. Dr Nair manages IHH’s business units in Singapore, which includes the Mount Elizabeth, Mount Elizabeth Novena, Gleneagles and Parkway East hospitals, primary healthcare group Parkway Shenton, as well as Parkway Radiology, Parkway Laboratory and Parkway College.

Dr Prem is a physician and healthcare executive with over three decades of experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors. He was with Raffles Medical Group for 27 years, where he was the Chief Corporate Officer, as well as the Managing Director for Singapore Healthcare. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore’s Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.

An active community citizen, Dr Prem received the Public Service Medal at the 2010 National Day Awards for his contributions to the Singapore Prison Service. He is also a Justice of the Peace.

Dr Prem graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery. He also holds a Master of Business Administration (Distinction) from Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom.
